Here I plan to post miscellaneous ramblings and drivel, further clogging the internet superhighway.

Damn!
So my furnace went south on me today. I woke up to a very cold house, checked the breaker, changed the filter, and kept trying to start it. Short version: the ignitor was broken and I had to call a repairman. $202.00 later, it's working.
Can't really comment too much on your boiler, except to say that any sort of fix from A British Gas engineer for around £100 is a bargain.. anyway, I digress. Just cruising around the blogworld, and after seeing this one have added you to my list of blogs to go visit.
Hope you don't mind too much, and if you feel the need to visit mine, then click here.
Thanks for visiting my blog. I'll take a look at yours as well. In the meantime, my boiler is working just fine, as it should for having spent $202.00 on it. Cheers
Interesting the difference between the British pound and the U.S. dollar these days, isn't it? I'm beginning to feel as if I live in a third world country--you go overseas, and US money doesn't go very far. I'm sorry you were cold. I'm one of those weird people who shuts my heat off completely at night. Every morning, I wake up in a house that's somewhere down below 50 degrees. I'm buried under comforters and quilts, and then I get up and shiver until the furnace re-heats the tiny little house. Hey. We cracked 30 degrees yesterday. It was a frickin' heat wave.
I can't do that. I have to have it toasty warm even if it costs me $$. At night I put it down to 64 and cover up. But the thermostat kicks on at 5 am to bring it back up to 74. I don't know what I'll do when I'm old and have no money. Probably have to burn my furniture or something since I won't be able to afford heat or even cat food for dinner!
