I have to wonder if Ed's intro will be used as his epitaph "Here's Johnny!".
I'm old enough to barely remember Parr but Johnny Carson was the "Tonight Show" for me - always keeping his personal views out of the show and delivering pure gut busting entertainment.
I agree. JC was the best there has been at late night TV. He always made me laugh. I think the epitaph is a good idea. Maybe not in big letters, but some simple script. After all, that was the way millions will remember their nightly appointment with Johnny.
